How to gain muscle mass

Even though this client has tried many different types of diets, none of them actually worked. Naturally, she started off sceptically, but gave me the benefit of the doubt.Β 

Despite what many people in the weight loss industry claim, she was able to combine a significant amount of weight loss – with a growth in absolute muscle mass.

As a result she didn’t even get stronger, but also had to carry much less weight. The result: massive amounts of energy and better performance.Β

From unrealistic goal

This client came to me with, according to her “an unrealistic goal” to lose 10 kilos. Moreover, she believed her metabolism was damaged from all the dieting and was in pain.

With the program she was able to achieve her “unrealistic” goal and now weighs less than she ever had in her life. Moreover, analyses showed that the weight she lost was pure fat, while she was able to increase her muscle mass. All in just a couple of months.

Even though this left the trainers in her gym speechless, to me this came as no surprise, as it was accurately predicted in the modelsYears later now, she still applies her learned physical and mental skills to continue to stay at her dream weight.

Lost 23 kg, moved down from obese to athlete level body fat & exchanged his XXL for a size M

After almost 4 decades of struggles, this client came to me with the (seemingly) straight-forward goal of losing weight. However, as often is the case – we dug deeper during our coaching sessions to get to the core of the problem.

Step by step we got closer and meanwhile improved all metrics. As a result he moved from the official weight categorie ‘obese’ to ‘average’, only to continue into ‘fitness’ and ending up in the ‘athlete’ body fat category.

While doing so, he maintained most of his muscle mass and we established new core habits, both of which massively increased his changes of long-term success. Before the program he felt completely out of control of his weight and rated himself a 1 out of 10. Due to the structural approach he now rates his level of weight control at a whopping 8/10, making him confident his new body is here to stay.

From borderline obese to athlete level body fat

What a difference about 4 months can make, right? This client came to me with a story I’ve heard before: tried various things, but nothing seemed to work.Β 

She was attracted to my approach given my focus on data. Surely, this is exactly what we did when we got to work, as data helped us sculpt and refine our approach.

The results almost 10 kg of body weight lost, primarily fat mass and with a extremely high maintenance of muscle mass. Moreover, she reported an increase in energy from a 5/10 to a 9/10. Happiness up from 5/10 to a 8/10 (controlled for external circumstances). And a self-reported growth in control over her weight from a 2/10 to a 8/10. Truly, life changing.

I don't want to be hungry anymore & lose a few kilos

Weight loss or

Clients always come to me with the goal to lose weight. However, after a few questions it’s clear that the loss of muscle is not preferred (even though most diets tend to have this effect).

Compare your body to a car and look at your muscles like the engine. Before the weight loss you’re a big American V8, however, while you lose weight (and muscles) your engine shrinks to a tiny city car. As soon as you’re fed up with starving yourself, you revert to your old diet and fill up your gas tank like you did with that big engine. Slowly, you’ll put that extra gas in the jerry cans in your ‘trunk’.

Because we’ll apply the latest weight loss science clients lose weight, without muscle loss or even gain muscles. The result: a smaller car with a big engine. Perfectly exemplified by Ruben.

In the 1st fase we work closely together. Here I’ll be crunching a lot of data, refine your models and we’ll have weekly 1-on-1 sessions. All with the purpose of drilling down to the core asap.

As this phase is physically and mentally relatively intense for me, I will not work with too many clients at once. Moreover, I believe my approach, added value and speed at which I help you make an impact are unique. 

For some this price feels high, others don’t seem to care. What all my clients have in common, however, is that they believe it’s  worth it. Moreover, as soon as we’re done here, we’ll move to the next price bracket (50% discount)

After your body and mind are fully prepped, it usuallyΒ takes a few weeks to get into the right ‘flow’ and the scientific models to adjust to your unique features. Moreover, you’ll have a lot of questions, where I can (usually) provide some guidance.Β 

When you feel that you have developed the right tools and skillset to keep moving forward and your body shows regular weight drops (with other KPI’s), we’ll stop our 1-on-1 sessions and we will move to this phase where IΒ will focus fully on data analytics and give you regular high impact feedback.

As this is less intense, mentally and in terms of time, as well as easier to plan I, again, try to balance your investment with impact; hence the 50% discount.

After we gather the data to understand your starting point, we’ll have several 1-on-1 coaching sessions.
