{"id":3900,"date":"2023-10-25T11:28:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-25T10:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/weight-loss-wizard.com\/?p=3900"},"modified":"2024-10-25T11:33:56","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T10:33:56","slug":"are-you-obese-without-realizing-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weight-loss-wizard.com\/nl\/blog\/data\/are-you-obese-without-realizing-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Are you obese without realizing it?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I want to talk about a foundational topic, as I believe this prevents many people from taking action (and regretting it).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Are you obese without realizing it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When I coach clients to help them lose weight in a smarter way, we always start with a baseline measurement of various metrics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many are surprised to hear that this data shows that they are actually in the official weight category &#8216;obese&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc47\ud83c\udffb If you&#8217;re curious to understand this applies to you, keep on reading&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why don&#8217;t people realize they&#8217;re obese?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I thought about why many of my clients don&#8217;t see themselves as obese, even though they clearly fit the definition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on my experience I concluded that for most of them the term &#8216;obesity&#8217; triggers images that are in reality classified as &#8216;morbidly obese&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As many people believe they are a long time away from ending up in a Jerry Springer or Dr. Phil episode where the fire department has to cut them out of their house and bring you down with a fork lift truck, this prevents them from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Realizing the problem<\/li><li>Taking action<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xO7iaUFIx5Y&amp;__s=xxxxxxx\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"266\" src=\"https:\/\/weight-loss-wizard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dr-phil.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3901\" srcset=\"https:\/\/weight-loss-wizard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dr-phil.jpg 480w, https:\/\/weight-loss-wizard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dr-phil-300x166.jpg 300w, https:\/\/weight-loss-wizard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/dr-phil-18x10.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I coach clients to help them lose weight in a smarter way, we always start with a baseline measurement of various metrics.
